You will need:
- Duck® brand duct tape
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Optional: stickers, paint marker, permanent marker
Step 1: Make a duct tape fabric that is
25 inches long by six strips wide.
*See attached fabric instructions.
Step 2: From the fabric, cut out 10 squares
that each measures five inches by five inches. |
Step 3: To create the frame, cut a square
from the middle of each square piece. You can also cut other shapes,
such as an oval or heart. |
Step 4: To make the front pocket of the
photo album, lay one frame-cut square over one full square. |
Step 5: Cut three five-inch pieces of
duct tape to seal the two sides and bottom of the front pocket. |
Step 6: Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to
make the back pocket. |
Step 7: To make an inside pocket, sandwich
one full square between two frame-cut squares. |
| |
Step 8: Cut three pieces of five-inch
long duct tape to seal the two sides and bottom of the inside pocket. |
| |
Step 9: Repeat Steps 7 and 8 to make a
second inside pocket. |
Step 10: To assemble the photo album, lay the front cover
pocket frame-cut side up to the left of an inside pocket. Use a five-inch
piece of tape to connect the two pockets. Be sure that the open side
of the pocket is at the top. |
| |
Step 11: Fold the front cover onto the inside pocket. Use another five-inch piece of tape to reinforce the outside fold. Apply tape in the folded position. |
| |
Step 12: Lay these two pockets flat with the side you just taped facing upward. |
| |
Step 13: Place the second inside pocket next to the first with the open side at the top. Connect with a five-inch piece of duct tape. |
| |
Step 14: Fold the second inside pocket onto the first inside pocket. Reinforce the outside fold with a five-inch piece of tape while in the folded position. |
| |
Step 15: Unfold all pockets. Place the holder in front of you so that the front cover pocket is frame-cut side up. |
| |
Step 16: Place the back cover pocket frame-cut side up. Use a five-inch piece of duct tape to connect it to the final inside pocket. |
| |
Step 17: Fold the back cover pocket onto the inside pocket. Reinforce the outside fold with a five-inch piece of duct tape while in the folded position. |
Step 18: Fold the pockets accordion-style. |
